In League of Women Voters of North Carolina v. Rucho, a three hundred page opinion was filed. Judge Wynn wrote the opinion in which Judge Britt concurred and Judge Osteen Jr. concurred in part and dissented in part. The case is partnered with another suit titled Common Cause v. Rucho. In the case, the plaintiffs allege that North Carolina's 2016 Congressional Redistricting Plan was a partisan gerrymander. The plaintiffs also allege that this is in violation of Article I of the Constitution and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. CLC is representing the plaintiffs in the case and have filed court briefs at every stage.
