End Citizens United v. FEC (Trump campaign): U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit – Ruling holding FEC’s dismissal contrary to law
On June 9, 2023, the U.S. Court of Appeals reversed the district court’s ruling denying End Citizens United’s motion for default judgment against the FEC. The D.C. Circuit held that the FEC acted contrary to law when it dismissed End Citizens United’s administrative complaint against the Trump campaign without providing a timely explanation for its dismissal. The D.C. Circuit instructed that the matter be remanded to the FEC for further action.
