A new report released today by CLC reveals how every modern American president, from both major political parties, have appointed ambassadors who were wealthy political donors with limited or nonexistent credentials for foreign service in what is called the donor-to-ambassador pipeline. Using a ten-year history of campaign contributions by President Biden’s political, noncareer ambassador nominees, this report shows that the current administration has continued to fuel the donor-to-ambassador pipeline.
