Congressional Testimony of CLC’s Trevor Potter on “AI and the Future of Our Elections”

On September 27, 2023, Trevor Potter, Founder and President of Campaign Legal Center (CLC), testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Rules and Administration at a hearing on “AI and the Future of our Elections.” Trevor’s testimony described how political communications generated through artificial intelligence fit into the broader context of our campaign finance system, and why federal regulation is urgently needed to address the impact of this technology on our democracy.
