CLC Urges Revision to OCE Language in House Rules Package

On January 4, 2023, Campaign Legal Center (CLC) sent a letter to the full House of Representatives, urging the chamber to revise language in the proposed House rules package for the 118th Congress that would weaken the U.S. Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE). CLC’s letter describes how the proposed House rules package would severely curtail OCE’s ability to do its job and urges lawmakers to ensure OCE can continue to perform its essential core function: providing oversight and accountability in Congress.
