CLC Letter to GA SEB In Opposition to Hand Count Proposals

On September 19, 2024, CLC submitted a comment urging the Georgia State Election Board to reject two proposals which would require counties to hand count ballots after each day of early voting and Election Day, which would add significant time and complexity to poll workers’ workload, create serious and unnecessary chain of custody issues for counties, and threaten the counties’ ability to certify election results.
