CLC Letter to Butler County Board of Elections Concerning Issues with Identification Envelopes

Date

CLC sent a letter to the Director and Deputy Director of the Butler County Board of Elections (Butler BoE). Butler County is located in southwestern Ohio.

The letter informs the Butler BoE that the current identification envelope being sent with the early vote mail-in ballot has an area for a voter to enter their driver's license as a means of identification that needs to be remedied. In the current version the area only contains six boxes - two fewer than the number of digits in an Ohio driver's license. In the letter, CLC proposes a solution and encourages Butler BoE to rectify the issue quickly.
