CLC Comments on Texas Ethics Commission's Proposed Cryptocurrency Regulation

Campaign Legal Center submitted public comments to the Texas Ethics Commission regarding the Commission’s proposed regulation regarding the acceptance and use of cryptocurrency by political committees. Our comments provide recommendations for additional safeguards to ensure cryptocurrency is not used to circumvent legal requirements and to strengthen the reporting requirements for cryptocurrency contributions.
