CLC Comments on Meta’s Policies Regarding Political Misinformation

On March 23, 2023, Campaign Legal Center (“CLC”) submitted a public comment to the Oversight Board of Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, regarding political misinformation and ongoing threats to democratic processes and institutions. The comment made specific recommendations regarding the importance of transparency to preserve election integrity, and the risks presented by mis- and disinformation during the crucial period between when votes are cast and candidates assume office.
