Americans for Prosperity v. Meyer – District Court Order Granting Motions to Dismiss
The U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona ruled on Motions to Dismiss filed by Defendants, including Defendant-Intervenor Voters’ Right to Know, represented by CLC Action. Plaintiffs sought to overturn Proposition 211, also known as the Voters’ Right to Know Act, which requires disclosure of the original source of all major contributions used to pay for campaign media spending. The Court rejected Plaintiffs’ claims and dismissed their complaint, affirming Arizona voters’ right to know who is spending to influence their decisions when they cast their ballots.
