Planned Giving
By choosing to support Campaign Legal Center with a legacy gift, you can ensure that the work you have invested in throughout your life to protect and defend our democracy continues for future generations. There are many ways to include Campaign Legal Center in your plans that cost you nothing now:
Bequest
Remember CLC through a bequest in your will or trust. The following is an example of language you can use:
“I give and bequeath to Campaign Legal Center, 1101 14th St NW, Suite 400, Washington, DC, the sum of $_______ or x% of my residual estate to be used for its general charitable purposes.”
Beneficiary Designations
Beneficiary designations are a simple and flexible way to make a gift to CLC. Please ask your policy administrator for a change-of-beneficiary form (this form can often be found on your provider’s website) and name Campaign Legal Center as a beneficiary of any of the financial instruments below:
- Bank Accounts
- Brokerage Accounts
- Donor-Advised Funds
- Insurance Products
- IRA and Qualified Retirement-Plan Distributions
Life Income Gifts
Charitable Remainder Trusts can provide donors with an income stream, significant tax savings and the satisfaction of providing Campaign Legal Center with vital long-term resources. The creation of a life-income gift benefits both the giver and the receiver—a "win-win" situation. Your legal and financial advisors can create these trusts for you, including CLC as a beneficiary.
