“All of these states are trying to do the same thing, which is limit absentee balloting or vote by mail as it is also known. This is directly in response to all of the claims that we saw after the 2020 election,” said Caleb Jackson with the Campaign Legal Center. “Many of these rules and these laws that are being passed are really efforts to dampen minority voters. This is a trend that we are seeing throughout the country.”
