In the race’s final days, both the DFL (Minnesota’s Democratic Party) and the nonpartisan Campaign Legal Center filed FEC complaints against Melton-Meaux for disguising the identity of his contractors, a move he made to get around the party’s restrictions on strategists who work against incumbents.
