“No, it’s not going to happen. It’s anti-democratic, it’s un-American, and it’s unfortunate that anybody has even decided to float it—this idea of overruling the popular vote. But the important thing is it is not working,” said Adav Noti, senior director of litigation and chief of staff at Campaign Legal Center. “Every legislator who is in a position of power in one of these states has made very clear that they know that under the Constitution, under federal, and under state law, they do not have the power to change the rules for the presidential election after Election Day.”
