Shane Sheppard

Director, Finance
Shane Sheppard joined CLC in April 2018. He is responsible for the organization’s annual budget process, short- and long-term financial forecasting as well as cost management.

In addition, Shane works closely with the executive team to develop a robust financial plan that drives decision making around CLC’s objectives and fundraising strategies.

Working in both the private and nonprofit sectors, Shane has nearly a decade of expertise in annual audit preparation, full cycle accounting, grant management and human resources administration. Prior to joining CLC, he was the Finance and Operations Manager for the Thomas B. Fordham Institute, where he performed various financial and administrative duties.

A Virginia native, Shane earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Christopher Newport University, where he also minored in philosophical studies.
