James joined the CLC staff in September 2019.
James, a dynamic and results driven financial professional has over 15 years of non-profit accounting and financial management experience. He has directed the financial and accounting operations of non-profit corporations and their related entities; and served as a financial consultant to executive decision makers utilizing acumen in strategic financial planning and analysis, non-profit accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, risk management, and financial forecasting and modeling.
As a member of strategic leadership teams James has advised executive staff, finance committees, and board of directors of non-profit organizations on developing and implementing financial and operational plans. In addition, James formulated operating and capital budgets, aligning current budget and operations with long-term and strategic financial plans. James has also developed financial forecast and models to enhance revenue, reduce cost, and improve the cash flow of non-profit entities. He has established financial policies and procedures as well as internal controls to comply with non-profit GAAP, FASB, IFRS, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
James is a licensed, active Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maryland and holds a B.S. in Business Administration & Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University as well as a M.S. in Accounting & Financial Management from the University of Maryland University College.
