SCOTUS to Decide if 2020 Census Will Have Citizenship Question

The justices on Friday agreed to review a lower court ruling that has blocked the Trump administration from adding such a question to the population survey. The question, which has not appeared on the census since 1950, could affect the allocation of seats in the House of Representatives and shift the distribution of billions of dollars in federal money. "It is critical that the U.S. Supreme Court uphold the district court's sound decision to stop this rash and politically motivated citizenship question from being added to the 2020 Census," Paul Smith, Vice President at the Campaign Legal Center said.
