Pamela Karlan, principal deputy assistant attorney general in the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, served on the boards of the American Constitution Society and the Campaign Legal Center. Catherine Lhamon, deputy director of the Domestic Policy Council for racial justice and equity, was once an assistant legal director at the ACLU of Southern California.
