Kim Reynolds Promises to review backlog of felon voting rights applications by the Iowa caucuses

Gov. Kim Reynolds promised Tuesday that before the Iowa caucuses on Feb. 3, her administration will process a backlog of 347 applications from felons seeking to have their voting rights restored. Iowa is the only state in the country with a blanket prohibition on felons voting once they complete their sentences unless the governor restores their rights. The Campaign Legal Center, a nonpartisan group in Washington DC, held a news conference Monday to raise awareness of the issue.
