Interview: Norm Ornstein on The Electoral Count Act

“Well, there is a provision in the Electoral Count Act of 1877, a somewhat arcane law we have blissfully never had to deal with before this election, but that is the date that if the states have their state electors complete, which I think all of the states do at this point, they are presumptively correct when Congress goes to count them on January 6,” said Norm Ornstein, a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and board chair at Campaign Legal Center.
