House Republicans show up at Oregon Capitol, suggesting vote likely on new district maps

Sixteen House Republicans returned to the Oregon Capitol on Monday morning, suggesting they will likely cooperate with Democrats to pass new district maps. Additionally, the nonpartisan group PlanScore, which is affiliated with the nonpartisan Campaign Legal Center, found in its statistical analyses of the Democrats’ latest electoral maps that they would result in relatively representative districts with a slightly disproportionate benefit for Republicans in the House and a slightly disproportionate benefit for Democrats in the Senate.
