House GOP's redistricting proposal aims to 'crack and pack'

Redistricting is inherently political — we expect everyone to come to the process with some bias. But Republicans’ racial and political motives here are clear — in fact, the nonpartisan Campaign Legal Center found that the House Republicans’ map had a strong partisan bias skewing in favor of the GOP. It’s time to center the voices of everyday Oregonians who have been disempowered for too long — that means listening to the voices of BIPOC Oregonians in this process.
