Group aims to educate felons on voting rights

As election day approaches, advocates are ramping up a local effort to educate felons about their voting rights. The group "Restore Your Vote" was in downtown Tucson Tuesday spreading that message.

Many may think convicts can't vote, but laws are different for every state. In Arizona, people with only one conviction are immediately eligible to vote once they complete their sentences and pay their fines. About 221,000 people in Arizona can't vote due to criminal conviction restrictions, and about 6 million people across the country.
