Federal appeals court upholds Tennessee signature-matching procedure on absentee ballots

"So if I submit my ballot the day before the election, there's nothing that says Tennessee has to let me know my ballot was rejected before the election is over and before I get to vote again," said Caleb Jackson, an attorney with Campaign Legal Center representing the plaintiffs in the case. "We've seen a ton of decisions from courts, not just in Tennessee but across the county that are anti-voter, anti-voter-access. And this means the status quo will remain the same, unfortunately."
