For someone like Conway, whose job involves advocating the president’s political positions and participating in media interviews at all times of day, the line between on-duty and off-duty conduct can be hard to draw. However, several of Conway’s partisan comments came during interviews conducted at the White House about administration policy.

“It’s not like Kellyanne Conway was talking about Trump’s policies in relation to Obama-era policies,” said Delaney Marsco, legal counsel at the Campaign Legal Center, of her attacks on Joe Biden. “She was talking about Joe Biden as a candidate for political office and she was doing that in the driveway of the White House.”
