Event Thursday to help restore voting rights
An event will be hosted in Oakman Thursday in an effort to give people who may have lost their voting rights a chance to regain the privilege.
The Alabama Voting Rights Project will be at the Oakman Senior Center on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help those who need their voting rights restored.

The Alabama Voting Rights Project is made possible through the Campaign Legal Center and Southern Poverty Law Center, serving to re-enfranchise thousands of Alabama residents by helping them obtain a Certificate of Eligibility to Register to Vote (CERV).
